After being blown out by Evergreen Park in the tournament's opening game, Downers Grove South defeated each of the tournament's other entries -- including Evergreen Park -- before falling in the title game. Evergreen Park escaped a bases-loaded threat in the sixth inning to preserve their 7-6 victory. The 176-foot distance to the left field fence made high-scoring games the norm at Ron Frenzel Field in Alsip.
