Tournament Results:
NOTE: The New Hampshire state championship game was a quarterfinal round game in the Region 1 Section 2 tournament.
New Hampshire leagues had agreed prior to the start of tournament play that leagues from the state would not compete beyond the state level. Little League officials in Williamsport rescinded this agreement upon learning of it. Portsmouth National won the state title with a win over Concord National in the quarterfinal round of the Section 2 tournament, and immediately following the win, announced their intention to withdraw from further tournament competition. Portsmouth was recognized as the state champion, but Concord National was invited compete in later rounds of the tournament once Portsmouth announced its withdrawl.
