2010 News Headlines

(June 13, 2010) -- U.S. leagues are just days away from being able to officially announce the rosters for this year's all-star teams, which means the main portion of this year's Little League Baseball international tournament season is about to begin in earnest. For the fifteenth consecutive year, we will bring you results of tournament action in the major baseball division from across our coverage area in the U.S. and Canada, beginning with early round district games and culminating in the final pitches leading up to the Little League World Series. In just a few short weeks, the field of several thousand hopefuls will be narrowed down to the sixteen teams that realize their dream of reaching Williamsport. The Little League World Series opens on Friday, August 20.

As with last year's coverage, because of the high volume of games in the early stages of the tournament, we will in some instances be providing links to district tournament coverage on other web sites rather than listing results here. As always, we rely on our visitors to help us stay up-to-date, so if you can provide results or pairings that are not covered on this site -- or can point us to where these can be found -- please contact the Unpage.

(June 13, 2010) -- We are expanding our coverage area to encompass three new geographies. Click to see present-day and historical state and provincial tournament results dating back to the 1950s for Arizona, British Columbia, and Georgia.

(June 9, 2010) -- The third time is the charm for Australia's Adelaide Southern Little League. After finishing as the runner-up in the first two Australian national tournaments, the South Australia champions pushed across a run in the bottom of the sixth inning to edge Ringwood District Little League, 4-3, in the Australian championship game at the Surfers' Paradise Baseball Club complex in Queensland. Adelaide Southern will next compete in an invitational tournament sponsored by the Australian Baseball Federation, as the ABF has elected to not participate in this year's Asia-Pacific Region tournament in Jakarta due to the Australian government's high-level terrorist activity warning for Indonesia.

(April 2, 2010) -- Major League Baseball's opening day is just around the corner, but action is already underway in Little League Baseball's 2010 international tournament, as state tournament competition is revving up in Australia. It is late summer in the Southern Hemisphere, and while some early round results are in the books already, action in most state tournaments commences around Easter weekend. State and country (non-metro) champions from throughout the country advance to the Australian national tournament in June.
